Selling your patterns

  • Can I choose which patterns get listed?

    You can suggest your bestsellers, but we make the final selection to ensure the products fit the Dutch market and our assortment. We’ll always communicate clearly about what we plan to publish.

  • How do I submit my PDF files safely?

    You can send your files via WeTransfer or Dropbox. We store your files offline on a password-protected hard drive before uploading them to our secure system.

  • How do I apply to become a vendor?

    You can fill out the vendor interest form on our website. We’ll ask for basic info about you, where you currently sell, and a few examples of your work. Once we review your application, we’ll let you know if it’s a match.

  • What kind of patterns are you looking for?

    Original, high-quality cross stitch and embroidery designs, especially those that appeal to beginners or have a fresh, unique twist. We love colour, fun and variety! 

  • How and when do I get paid?

    We pay out once a month. You’ll always have access to your sales data so you can track everything with ease. 

  • Can I also sell on Etsy or my own site?

    Yes! There’s no exclusivity requirement. Our platform focuses on Dutch-speaking crafters, so there’s no competition with your existing shop. 

  • Do I need to upload the products myself?

    Nope, we take care of that for you. Once you’re approved, we’ll curate a selection of your patterns, translate the content and upload everything for you. 

  • How much does it cost to join?

    Nothing at all! There are no setup fees, no subscription costs, and no hidden charges. You only pay a commission when your product sells. 

  • Who owns the copyright to my designs?

    You do! As long as your design is original and based on artwork or a photo you own, the copyright stays entirely with you.

Terms and conditions

By applying to become a vendor on Stitchonomy, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Eligibility

You must be the original creator of the designs you submit or have full legal rights to use and sell them. Designs that use copyrighted images (e.g. licensed characters or logos) without permission are not allowed on our platform.

2. Copyright & Ownership

You retain full copyright over your original designs. Stitchonomy does not claim ownership over your work. By joining our platform, you give Stitchonomy the right to sell your approved patterns as PDF downloads to customers in Dutch-speaking markets.

3. Commission & Payment

We agree on a custom commission percentage before any products go live. You will receive payouts once per month for all confirmed sales from the previous period. All payments will be made via your preferred payment method.

4. Product Curation & Upload

Stitchonomy curates, translates and uploads the selected products on your behalf. We reserve the right to choose which products to feature, based on relevance and quality. We may edit descriptions or titles for readability, SEO or consistency.

5. Pricing

You may suggest prices, but final pricing is set in consultation with Stitchonomy. We aim to maintain consistent pricing across the platform in line with our audience and market.

6. Promotions & Marketing

Your products may be included in newsletters, social media posts or other promotional materials as part of our efforts to promote the marketplace. You will always be credited when your designs are featured.

7. Termination

You can request removal of your products from the marketplace at any time. Likewise, Stitchonomy reserves the right to remove any products or end the vendor agreement if we believe the content violates our guidelines or legal requirements.

8. Liability

You are responsible for ensuring your designs do not infringe on any third-party rights. Stitchonomy is not liable for any legal claims resulting from copyright violations in your submitted work.

9. Updates

We may update these terms from time to time. You will be notified of any significant changes via email.
